Dear All,
Resurrection Dance Company; RDC will embark upon their 10th season approaching October 31, 2012. During this year, the Artistic Director has been developing a training program and a youth ensemble company to further growth into the company.
In the past years, RDC has performed at Barnevelder Movement Arts Complex and numerous studio concerts. Also, dancers were brought in from different states for various seasons.
Artistic Director; Wenda L. Koon , former resident chorographer and Assistant Director with City Dance Company {and Junior Company} founded Resurrection Dance Company; RDC in 2002. As a result, creating genres of dance such as jazz, contemporary, and lyrical.
The company’s mission is intertwined with Make Poverty History and ONE - the fight against HIV/AIDS and poverty. Additionally, our mission pays homage to artists who are no longer with us such as Michael Hutchence, Kurt Cobain, and Layne Staley.
Resurrection Dance Company; RDC are striving towards a goal of $10,000.00 to be reached by the end of 2013. These monies will be used for advertising, printing, space rental, new costuming, and most importantly; to continue spreading our vision the of AIDS epidemic thru dance.
